.How to check if your property is suitable for cavity wall insulation; Many London properties are NOT suitable.
It will have been built after the 1920's.
In the case of brick constructed houses if the bricks are all laid “side-on” and the walls are about 300mm (12in) thick, they probably have cavities.
Its brick pattern will be similar to the higher image on the right.
If they have a regular pattern of “side on and end on” brickwork they are usually 225mm (9in) - or the brick length - thick and more likely to be solid walls:

Gas central heating grants are also available.
You may also be eligible for government funded grants of up to
£2,700 for gas fired central heating, if you receive an
income or disability related benefit and:
- you are over 60 or
